After letting up two jacks in the 1st inning Boomer settled down and pitched an almost complete game. Sox won 7-2. <br /> <br />Series notes: <br />Renteria started hitting, he batted .813 in the series against NY. He's picked up his avg. like 50 or so points in the last few weeks. <br />So it looks like the switch of uniform #'s for Boomer and Renteria worked some magic. <br />Manny had 7 consecutive hits, raising his avg. <br /> <br /> <br />Arroyo was knocked around tonite by the O's. Sox lost 8-1. <br /> <br />Reports are that Schilling is healing nicely. We really need him back in the rotation. <br /> <br />27-23 record, tied with NY and Toronto for second, all 4 games behind the O's. <br /> <br />Time to start picking up the pace.
